Flarum in subdirectory (website.com/flarum) - possible?

Hello!

So I am thinking on moving my Flarum into directory under main domain mydomain.xyz/flarum instead of having flarum in sub-domain (flarum.mydomain.xyz). Change mostly due to SEO advantages (as all forum content will contribute to domain).

Will the Flarum forum work without issues? Does anyone runs their Flarum from /directory?

Beta 5 should have solved any lingering issues in doing that. Go for it!

jordanjay29 right. I host my Flarum at DigitalOcean, I will just change directory first (move Flaring to a sub directory) and see how it performs. Do I need to set something extra to make it working?

@jordanjay29 so I just put all Flarum content to subdirectory and when I try to access it, I am getting 404 Not Found

Now it's working.

So I understand, I don't need to reinstall whole forum, just moving files to sub-directory and updating URL in config.php is enough in order to run forum without any glitches? Just double-checking as I saw in other topics people were messing with their NGINX/APACHE configs so I wonder.

justshipit you shouldn't need to mess with configuration unless you run into a problem. If you meet with 500/501/503 errors, then we might have to look at it.

If you have a sub-domain set up, it's best you remove that portion of the config if it's not being used.
