Open Source WordPress Flarum/Discourse like theme

Hello everyone
I am making an open-source community/forum theme for WordPress.

https://github.com/sinanisler/SiForum
Writing from zero and adding additional features supported with BuddyPress.
Like twitter-like posting on profiles, profile comments, direct messages, friend following, friend invites, and activity streams.
The theme will support all of the WordPress native plugins and even Gutenberg posting for editors and admins.

If anyone would like to try it, help it or contribute to it is welcome.

How to migrate old flarum data?
Any plans to add wpdiscuz support?

my friend wrote a SQL import from flarum gist.github.com/sinanisler/39a193ab1e074049026294f3b971a847
we converted flarum to wp not everything tho just users, posts, comments and categories.

about wpdiscuz. I want to keep theme native as much as possible. buddypress adds lots of social feature already.
wpdiscuz good but a bit slow time to time. but this theme is native and really really fast. even without cache it is so fast.
limitless possibilities with wp cache plugins. it can easily support million visits daily..

right now lots of issues open https://github.com/sinanisler/SiForum/issues
we need to finish main features first.

sinanisler yeah i see it is really fast... with CF APO it would be much more faster for sure

The reason i mentioned about wpdiscuz is they has many cool plugins / features already built and ready to use https://gvectors.com/product-category/wpdiscuz/ it would be hard to code all these features na like move comments between posts and upload files, Markdown for WordPress comments..etc and they do also support buddy press! Not sure how long it will take to build all these features into WordPress 🤔

Hari yes I know I tried it before starting this theme. but most of the good features are only paid on wpdiscuz.

my theme is free and open-source 😎

I don't need to support every feature ever on a forum or a plugin.
I just need to code the main features and since the theme is a native theme there are limitless possibilities with wp plugins.

With Gutenberg block editor this theme can be half editorial and half community.
there are lots of great possibilities to do...
