Better tags-subtags managment

I want report something I cannot see as intelligent in Flarum and want express my experience and point of view, hoping this can improve the Flarum community. Maybe this something is intelligent but I cannot understand how can be.

If there are more subtags a more link is showed under left tags.
This happen also on this community on the tags list on the left under the start discussion button at the end of the tags.

From this "more" link I can expect the tags list continue to show down the missed tags, I never expect to loose the page where I'm and to be redirected to a completely different page where all categories, tags and subtags are showed but missing his color label and his icons.

First of all I don't like the idea that admin has no control in the UI interface to decide to disable that or decide how many tags and subtags show. I expect also to be able to disable this more link and to decide, as admin, that all tags and subtags must be showed on the left column without the user or the staff is redirected to the all tags page that is a different page and will let the user leave where they are.

I hope you can consider a better management about this.
Is really the best solution show a more link that will not show more but will redirect the user to a completely separate and different page where tags and subtags miss color label and icons so will be more hard to be found.

Why the more link doesn't simply show more tags under the list or why there is no way to disable this?
I don't like the more link, I don't wanna it because is madding the job to find the right and desired tag more hard.
I don't like the fact this is redirecting to a completely new page instead of show more tag or subtag where user are and also i don't like to see to have no control on this: no options in the admin to disable or customize.

This generated for me a support request done months ago, without a solution.

There are definitely things that could be improved.

I don't fully understand your point about icons and colors missing.

Primary tags are all the tags in the first column in the admin panel. Sub-primary / second-level primary tags are the primary tags that have a parent. All first-level primary tags are always shown on the homepage. Sub-primary tags are only shown when the parent tag is active, at which point all children of that tag are visible.

Secondary tags are the tags in the second column in the admin panel. They have a separate requirement count, and up to 3 secondary tags are displayed in the left side navigation of the homepage.

The "show more" button is related to secondary tags only. It's designed to access the other secondary tags that are less popular and are at the bottom of the "all tags" page. The button will not be added if there are less than 4 secondary tags.

Secondary tags do have icons and colors on the "all tags" page.

It's only the "sub"/"second level" primary tags that have no color on the "all tags" page. Fixing that would probably require reworking the design of that page because it'll be very difficult to read the color when it's above the parent tag's background color.

The lack of icon for second level primary tags on that page is probably an oversight from back when tag icons were introduced. Since that page doesn't re-use the same component to create a tag link, it doesn't automatically receive an icon.
