Go outside, Flarumites!

Greetings, fellow Flarumites!

It's June, and for some of us that means summer. For others it means winter. For everyone here, it means it's time for another Community Update!

VERSION REPORT

Work on Beta 6 is coming along steadily. There's nothing big to report, but users have noticed small changes to our community software here that you may find in the next release. Keep your eyes out for more in the coming days/weeks.

A good way to keep track, besides these updates, is to follow our milestones on Github. It's fun to watch the issues tick down (or am I just weird?). Just be aware that those are just an internal guideline for our developers, and any dates or number of issues left are not a hard and fast indication of a release.

STAFF REPORT

This month, we happily welcome modedeep err, I mean @Digital, to our ranks of staff moderators. You've probably seen this new purple badge around the discussions, he's really hit the ground running.

SHOUT OUT

We have several new language packs this month, and I wanted to shout out to all our localizers in the community. Without all of you, Flarum would be restricted to the English community. So thank you to all of you who translate Flarum into your native tongue.

An additional thank you to our community here at discuss.flarum, on Gitter, and elsewhere beyond. We wouldn't be here without you. So thank you.

WRAP UP
That's all for this month, folks. Don't forget to go outside once in a while, too. We here at Flarum love our fresh air.

And as always, you can join us on Gitter or follow @Flarum on Twitter for more social engagement.

jordanjay29 Thanks for writing it! Wish you included more informations about beta 6 progress - how's going, challenges and expected release date.

Also, how many good devs do you guys need to speed up development?

Feel free to submit some PRs. Just know they might sit there for a while. I have a PR waiting that I submitted 4 months ago (but it still needs some tweaks from Toby and it's not a major issue).

justshipit If you log in to Github, go to flarum/core and Star or Watch the project, you'll be able to follow updates via Github a little bit closer than these updates come. Even if there's nothing big to report on here, there might an issue closed or PR merged at Github that makes you personally happy.

I apologize for the dearth of news. We should have some more for you shortly.

      a month later

I don't think so. At least I cannot see it in the topic listing. It's a rough time of year actually, at least for us here in Australia. It's winter so a lot of my friends are going overseas.
