777 file permission issue

hello, all of my storage folder and files permission is currently 777 I think it must be 775. i am not sure how this got changed

shall I run any commands for the entire flarum directory and set to 775 is that okay to do it?

Flarum doesn't do this. You are responsible for the permissions. 775 should be more than fine. In fact if your web user is www-data and those directories are owned by that user you probably don't even need to increase it to 775. But I won't bother you with the details right now 😉

i had a word with my hosting provider (CW) and he suggested running a search by running the command find -perm 777

all i see is only the storage folder has this issue.

i am changing them to 775, if the flarum team come across this discussion just reply it is okay or not or i need to set it to 644 or something (few of my flarum files are set to 644) really confused.
