Teddan as title describes. Since a part of my forum is about writting and reading . Therefore, open a disccusion without redirecting to the position of last read posts will be better. Many thanks if someone know how to do that. Or it can be a paid request for extensions development if needed.
luceos Teddan just add /1 to the end of the url; https://discuss.flarum.org/d/30805-flarum-v130-released/1 Or short; https://discuss.flarum.org/d/30805/1
Teddan luceos I got this point. Just /1 direct to the first post. Anyway to force all discussions direct to the first post no matter who and when or how many times they open?
TB54 It's not a big problem, but I would also be interested in a solution close to that: I find it good to lead the user to the first unread message of a discussion when you still have unread messages in it; but I would find more natural that once you have read it all, the topic (in discussion list) would lead to the first message, and not to the last.
luceos TB54 but I would find more natural that once you have read it all, the topic (in discussion list) would lead to the first message, and not to the last. I think that's a matter of opinion. phpBB does the same thing and it annoys the crap out of me 😊 I don't know whether this logic can be modified from an extension; I bet it should.
TB54 Yes, it's maybe a phpBB habit... Usually, when I read a topic I already read, it's for the pleasure to read it entirely again, but I understand the opposite can also be preferred. Ideally, this could be an option in user's preferences.
Teddan TB54 in my case, it just about people writing and reading fictions in my forum. So just for reading purpose , they would rather to read the first post always. Could you share the solution of how to do that?
Braden Aug 7th 2021 i was searching for the same solution https://discuss.flarum.org/d/28507-making-all-discussion-start-first-page but no one replied
miaowuawa Teddan I also found this problem, for there are some posts it is not necessary because it is an article and not a chat post. I think it is possible to try in the next version to let the admin customize the way the posts are displayed in each tag in administration .
