Some people trying my forum told me they would have liked to click on the item-tag to access directly the tag forum (specially when they are browsing "all discussion" at their first visits: they discover the sections threw the item-tags at the same time they discover the topics). That is something I instinctively tried to do myself the first times I was on flarum.
I don't know if it would create other problems of design, but I think it would help as you wouldn't need 2 clicks (first the topic, then the item tags in the hero header) to access those tags forum.
