davwheat Akito I've explored the idea of using Flarum as a community system for my college multiple times, due to its extensibility. We currently use it to run our online magazine over at http://b-mag.bhasvic.ac.uk/, but this is a rather simple use-case (no student login such as OAuth or SAML at all).
luceos It depends on the target audience. Is it just for student or also teachers. Who owns the community? The school of is it self operated?
