MartinJD Hi, for those using gmail for smtp email for your flarum forum, how have you worked around the fact that google has turned off "Less secure app access" ?
clarkwinkelmann MartinJD you should be able to create and use an application password, the same feature you would have to use anyway when 2 factor is enabled. I don't think they have turned that feature off? https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/185833 I see in the documentation this feature might only be available with 2FA.
MartinJD clarkwinkelmann thanks Clark - i did see that, but not sure how it would work with 2fa? Would i only need an application password for flarum? and then 2fa for "normal" logins?
