Reset permissions?

Hi all,

I have messed up with the permissions on the Admin.

Is there any way to reset those to the default ones?

orschiro I am not entirely sure if this is going to be the best method, but this is what I would try:

make a backup of the database
delete all rows from group_permissions
log in as an admin in the admin area
go to the permission grid and set it up anew

The admin has full access no matter what permissions are provided.

luceos thanks! This sounds not overly user friendly.

Maybe an opportunity to improve the Admin permissions page and provide a setting to restore to default?

orschiro it would also create the risk of people mistaking it for something else and resetting permissions. This would potentially cause private information to be made public.
