Lang in URL

I have a multilingual website, and multilingual ad campaigns. I'd like to point users to the forum with predefined language in URL. For example, www.site.com/forum/en or www.site.com/forum?lang=en

Doing so, customer will not be scared away with unknown language.

Please point me how I can achieve this.

You can do that with FoF Discussion Language, there is the link link.tdl?language=en

Thank you for the answer. I can't enable this plugin on the fresh forum. I'm afraid this plugin will cause more trouble than benefits.
