Display footnotes in footer

Hello,

I use footnotes a lot in Github and I wish I could use them as much in flarum.

I know they exist and are perfectly usable: [^1](url) but this just superscripts the note number and doesn't make the text/link appear anywhere. I would like my url or my text to be displayed at the bottom of the page (like on Github).

Do you have any solution/information for this? (maybe I'm using them wrong)

A-d-r-i I think this depends entirely on the markdown renderer used, textformatter and thus Flarum use Litedown. I'm not sure how easy it would be to replace that with the GitHub flavored style..

In reality, I'm not necessarily looking to have the style of Github, just to show my footnotes links at the bottom.
