Slow Notifications Loading

Guys I've noticed irrelevant of how many notifications I have have - or any user - it takes 30 seconds to load.

Anyone else noticed this or has a solution?

thomasarnold81 what exactly takes 30s to load? Your notification dropdown? The discussion page? Please help us understand.

It would also help posting the output of php flarum info so that we have an idea about the extensions you use.

Sure.

On clicking the flag on the home page which has a number of notifications ready to load I get the pop up but with the spinning loading circle for 30 seconds plus - this whether I have 1 or 100+ notificiations.

thomasarnold81 this is probably irrelevant to the original problem, but you appear to have 3 extensions installed from incorrect namespaces. I'm not sure how it works at all, there are likely javascript errors or inaccessible settings due to it. Apparently Packagist picked up the new versions of the renamed package and pushed them to the old abandoned projects as well, so you have versions of those extensions that should never have existed with those names.

You should remove all 3 flagrow/ extensions and install the new versions in the fof/ namespace. You might encounter database errors at some point though, because the extensions were designed to be migrated to their FriendsOfFlarum replacement before updating to Flarum 1.0.

Even if it works now, you will likely have errors at some point in the future if you don't make those changes.

OK so thats done.

However Byobu on my test won't now activate.

The other 2 are fine.

I'll open a separate thread for that. Oddly on my live site the it does have the FOF logo on the apps. And presents as FOF.

Notifications still slow.
