I started one year ago on A2 hosting and it was awful, Flarum would take 5-10 seconds to load on every click, I went back and forth with their support and they were useless, so finally I switched to Siteground (they are also a Bulgarian company and I'm from Bulgaria, so I decided to support the local business) and it's been pretty good so far, I can't complain besides them ignoring the .htaccess files and my Flarum configuration (including DB password) being exposed before I realize the .htaccess is being ignored 🤬 Other than that it's very reliable and fast. However my plan will soon be renewed to a rather expensive monthly plan which is the other downside with Siteground. (I've also learned they are sponsoring a political party here which I'm not OK with but that's a personal thing). I'm researching the possibility to switch to another proven and reliable hosting which won't cost me a lot. Is that possible? Preferably one that supports Flarum well. Would be great if they provide Redis, so that I can have a proper queue driver. Any suggestions?
P.S. It's a small non-profit forum (for fans of pianos) with 150 registered users and rather low activity like e.g. 10-15 posts on daily basis. So, I'm looking for something rather inexpensive, yet reliable. I'm also considering switching to FreeFlarum but I'm not sure how reliable it is, peeking in the discussion from time to time I see that people often post about various problems, which is I guess OK for a free forum but I'd prefer paying for a bit more reliability.
