I often see people ask for help about a Flarum issue that they've encountered. As I see it, (most of the time) not enough details are given to accurately identify the exact cause of the issue, and more details need to be requested from the author. Honestly, this might be partially caused also due to lack of feedback and communication in error messages (a simple, generic "Oops!" message is not very informative).
So, how could we improve this? My two main ideas are:
- Leave a link to the troubleshooting page next to the "Oops!" message;
- Show latest log trace at the bottom of
php flarum info
;
I think that these could improve the resolution of bugs and issues. What do you think?
