Cast A Code is a coding community with a bit of magic. When a user joins the site, they can select which 'house' they'd like to be a part of. Community members will see their house badge displayed on their profile, beside anything they post, and they'll also gain access to a forum which is exclusive to their house.
The goal is to make a coding community with a fun element to it. The different houses will be able to compete in competitions when the community has gained more members (ie Most Posts, Highest Engagement, Most Badges etc).
So each 'house' has their own private forums and house badge. There is a main lobby forum to bring users together for some off-topic chat, and users can still connect in all other coding forums.
Looking forward to seeing where I can take this site. I think it has potential, and I'm so grateful to Flarum extensions to make this possible, particularly the sign up options for a user to choose their 'house' - see below.
