What's the difference between "Edit user credentials" and "Edit user attributes" in the Moderate tab of the Permission settings?

Credentials are username, email and password, the fields a user uses to login.
SychO Thanks! What about attributes? Does it pertain to the user's settings?
Lurker Anything else that is editable that isn't credentials or groups.
Right now I believe the avatar and nickname. If you were referring to notification preferences or privacy settings, those can only be edited by the user himself.
