(Rename folder) FLARUM/public to /NEWNAME/public.

Hello,

Install the amazing forum on namecheap, with a shared server and the forum is great.

However I can verify that the forum has been installed at: example.com/FLARUM/PUBLIC. I understand that the public folder is for security, but `` how can I change the name of the flarum folder to forum for example ´´.

I've searched and searched and can't find a solution.

What I need:

Rename the /FLARUM folder - I use composer

FLARUM/public ---> /NEWNAME/public

Code1990 the public folder is there for security, but it only brings security when installing Flarum at the root (/) of a domain. Keeping it while using it as a subfolder probably means you are exposing all non-public Flarum files to the public still.

If you are installing in a subfolder, you should follow these instructions to remove the public folder https://docs.flarum.org/install/#customizing-paths

You can then name the folder containing the entire forum to anything you like just by renaming it on the filesystem.

After making those changes, if you already completed the Flarum installation, you must edit the forum URL in config.php.
