The issue

I just installed Flarum, following the documentation. When going to my forum's homepage and clicking on anything, a message pops up in the corner that says "The requested resource was not found."

Also, when trying to click on my user's settings to change the avatar, it returns that message. When the page is reloaded it turns a 404 on my web server.

For Apache, make sure mod_rewrite is enabled and that .htaccess files are allowed.

2kwatts Hi, I don't know if your problem is solved, but I want to give a suggestion. emm, did you change the web root to /public folder, if you didn't, and set a default error page, it is very likely to occur such problem 🐶.

2kwatts did you restart the apache server? And can you check apache2ctl -M | grep rewrite?

luceos Yes, I've restarted it.
That command returns rewrite_module (shared), so I'm pretty sure I have that done correctly.

2kwatts are you able to share your forum url or copy the response headers from the 404 you hit, these show us what service is throwing that error (apache or the app).
Also confirm the .htaccess is in the public directory and make sure the url is set to the right url.

2kwatts you are not running apache but nginx:

Server nginx/1.17.9

You will need to configure nginx to use rewrites.

I don't even know how this is possible, considering nginx isn't installed.

Actually, this probably has to do with using localtunnel. They use nginx to proxy other webservers.
