Edit and Delete permission

my site is 1.6.3, php 8.2, Im encountering a confusion about edit and delete

I have a special Tag that only Admin and Role1 have post permission.
I just use the Role1 to post a discussion, but I found the Role1 don't have permission to delete or edit the personal post.

And I assigned delete and edit permission to Role1 under the moderate of Permission.
then, the Role 1 have permission to delete and edit. But the Role1 also can delete and edit others posts, even Admin's posts in the special tag.

I dont know what's wrong of that. did anyone meet same problem? how to fix it?

I think something is wrong in the special tag. cuz I tested to use Role1 to post discussion in other main Tags, and the Role1 has permission to edit in other tags.

The special tag in my site has 8 sub-tags, I dont assign permissions to each sub-tag, So i think all sub-tags using the main tag (special tag) permissions. and for this special tag, its permission is Everyone can view, Members can post, only Role1 can post without approval. No one can reply except Admin Role.

yes, it is a globe setting, i did that.

You can allow permanent editing with the permission "Allow post editing" under the heading "Participation". Deletion isn't natively supported by Flarum, but users can flag their discussion using the Flags extension to ask a mod to delete it. I do think a permission could be added from an extension to allow deletion under specific circumstances.

luceos I just assigned a Reply permission to the Role1, then the Edit permission shows up... But i dont know why the roles dont have permission to edit the personal first post if I set No one can reply except Admin.

clarkwinkelmann I just tried this extension. But I still have to have to assign the Participate permission to the post owner.
the Tag permission is:
Create
Start New Post : Members
Start discussions without approval: Admin and a specific Role

Participate
Reply to discussions: Admin ONLY
Reply to discussions without approval: Admin ONLY

Then I tried your extension, give the Edit own discussion first post forever to Members and the Specific Role, it still doesnt have permission to edit.
But if I assign Reply to discussions to Members or the specific Role, it works then,.

But I want to get a result that, no one can reply in the tag, but only the post owner can edit the first post.

Maybe I made wrong setting of your mentioned extension., could you please try it out?
