I'm having problems removing the /public/ directory off my site now after uninstalling it from my domain... keeps redirecting to domain.com/public and it's not even on there anymore. Removed the softeware completely and it still redirects to it.

Phillip It might be the host config issue. What host software do you use? (like Apache, nginx, etc.)

I'm using Apache. I'm also on Windows, so I'm using the software from the Softaculous App Installer in my cpanel.

I'm also going by this tutorial and now I can't even a folder to create in my file manager.

I went ahead and deleted all the files...

Still getting /public on my site with no files on it.

Reinstalled and still not working right.

Phillip The cpanel installation system just get something wrong sometimes, if I didn't misunderstood what you mean, you can reinstall Flarum by using composer, or directly from source code. If you only want to change the web root for your website, go to the "subdomain" section of cpanel, find the domain, for which you want to change the host root, and click the "edit" button to change the host root. 🦊🦊 BTW, if the previous methods I mentioned are not suitable for you, try to upload something to your /public dictionary manually, to test if it's due to a permission error of cpanel.🦊
