The issue
When publishing an answer in a thread, I see the spinning circle, and it takes a while before the dialog where we write our answers is dismissed. The delay is not uniform, but seems to be longer when multiple members are already involved in the discussion. Is this tied to some internal mechanism? Like notifications perhaps? If so could the sequence be changed to let the user carry on with browsing the site and have other provesses be handled in the background? I understand running on a shared host can be part of the issue, but the fact a vanilla install on the same box is faster also makes me wonder if some of it can be tied to the data set, or some specific extensions. Some clarity about what happens when a user clicks the button would be nice (I'm sure the actual answer to that is "it depends", but wanted to mention it still)
