Missing Customisation and Email In New Installation

I've installed a test version of Flarum, before installing my own site I have been using the test version over at devflarum.xyzz.work. I have the same extensions active as that version. However, the test version has an email tab down the left and has much more customisation in the appearance tab which my install does not.

In my appearance tab I have the ability to change the colours and custom styles. In the test version I have been using it also has the ability to change the logo, favicon and a custom header. There is no "email" tab on my version at all.

What is the reason for this difference? And how do I go about getting these features on mine?

SieNew DevFlarum is maintained by @Kulga and it uses the latest development version of all extensions, including Flarum/core. Those new things you will see in beta6

datitisev is correct - however checking what will be in / fixed in beta.6 is best checked by looking here

In the thread for Devflarum, I mention it with this text:

dev-master code

Which means everything is at dev-master code, or the very latest code available. The version OP is using is likely beta.5 (the current beta version), which is a bit older and with less features, but more stable and tested by a greater audience.

However, I should make this more clear so users are not surprised as OP was.

Perhaps something like

This forum uses the latest development version of all extensions, including Flarum/core. This will cause Devflarum to have features / bugs not currently found in beta.n

Kulga I really appreciate you setting up DevFlarum. You are correct that I am using beta5 but it looks like a lot of awesomeness is coming in the next version.
