Hello, for awhile i’ve been running a dedicated game service where we give the users both a game server and a forum with extensions included.
The complaint I received from most of the customers is that there are cryptocurrency scams being posted all over the forum with 40-70 registrations with new accounts registered every hour.
We’ve tried countering the spam by automatically setting up stopforumspam, hcaptcha, going through nginx logs and blocking traffic from the bots addresses, and even recommending users to start approving posts to counter the spam from there main users but the spam bots keep cluttering the forum with new posts being made at every 3 mins with an account registered every hour.
