Markdown links - ToC-Style ?

I have a thread with many headings and a lot of text.
For easier navigation, I would like to have like a Table Of Content in the beginning, with

[Heading 1](#heading-1)
[Heading 2](#heading-2)
etc

Which would link to the specific parts of the thread

## Heading 1
Paragraph text

## Heading 2
Paragraph text

Can this be achieved? Perhaps I'm just formatting it wrong 😊

There's no way to create anchors natively, it requires an extension.

I was also working on a different TOC extension at some point but never finished it. The existing extension seems to cover a wide range of use cases already.

I will try the existing TOC extension to see if it is sufficient.

My goal was to be able to have a table(toc)+glossary,

To have on a fof/pages-page. 🙂
