Error message after a reply

Hello,

I have a very annoying issue.

When I mention a member or click "reply" on a post from a member, it opens me to write but if I go back to the line (enter key on the keyboard) I get a little error message "oops an error has occurred please refresh the page and try again".

Extensions aren't in cause because this problem appears after the installation of Flarum.... I followed your doc : https://docs.flarum.org/troubleshoot/ But the debug, except error 406 Not Acceptable, I don't see anything particular (I'm a beginner, maybe I don't read the file well)

I don't think Flarum can generate 406 HTTP responses.

Are you using any kind of attack prevention or web application firewall with your hosting? Maybe some logs on the server will be able to confirm which process is generating that response.

If you know how to access the network tab in the browser developer tools, could you check what the response body looks like for the 406 response? Its HTML or JSON might give us some hints regarding which process generated it.

Wlork the content looks like the expected JSON body. So it seems like something is switching just the HTTP status but not the content of the response.

I see a reference to HTTP/2 in the text you copied. Maybe the error has something to do with the HTTP version used between the client and the server causing the server to freak out? 🤔

I'm curious what could return that status code. Even the MDN page says 406 is "rarely used" https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/HTTP/Status/406

My host advised me to ajust a firewall value!

I take this opportunity to ask another question:

My forum is on https://site.com.

It's possible to force links: http://site.com, http://www.site.com and https://www.site.com to https://site.com ?

If yes, how? 🙂

Wlork usually, this can be done using rules in the .htaccess file (Apache) or rewrite rules in the site configuration (nginx). There are many examples on how to do this that are not specific to Flarum on the web.

I modified .htaccess for the urls, it works 🙂
