PHP Deprecated Errors

ERROR -

This error is from 1 day on my forum site. Is there any solution to this?

It made my site very very slow.

My hosting has a technical issue and now these errors are coming in the error log. Is there anything that i should talk tell to my hosting for this ?

You can safely disable logging of deprecation errors in your php.ini configuration. Disabling them is the recommended choice (by the PHP developers) for production.

If you don't have a setting for this in your managed hosting, you can ask your host to "disable display and logging of PHP deprecation warnings" for the PHP version you are currently using.

Those logs are only useful to developers.

This is the code in php.ini -

display errors are off but how to disable deprecation errors in php.ini ?

I tried this -

error_reporting = E_ALL & ~E_DEPRECATED & ~E_STRICT

But the warning is still there and it comes every second same as old.

Edit - The error is still there .... comes every second in the error log

xasharma make sure to reload the webserver (apache or php-fpm) after making changes to the php.ini. Also make sure you edit the right php.ini as the cli has a different one than the one used by apache/fpm.

As a side note you can probably also add the error_reporting message to the .htaccess or add the following line in your config.php above the return:

error_reporting(E_ERROR);
