Update: Issue identified, working on a solution now...
I faced same issues, my luck today i decided to finally start running the community again, i use hosting with hostinger with SSH access, so after complete installation
versions installed
Php 8.2 and 8.3 without public path
So installation is all good as usual after installation when you install any extension it will do normally and then refresh on page saying update flarum where you have to put database password again like i tried all methods but as soon as you install a extension it will ask you to update flarum with database password and right after that you will see your forum normally and then you go administrator-> Basic -> it will show no settings
I thought i am doing’s something wrong until i saw this thread.
Next Doctrine\DBAL\Driver\PDO\Exception: SQLSTATE[HY000] [1045] Access denied for user 'username@'localhost' (using password: YES) in /home/u516297624/domains/***********/public_html/vendor/doctrine/dbal/lib/Doctrine/DBAL/Driver/PDO/Exception.php:18
error as per log file i removed my domain name
ArturoRomano peopleinside Xkyer Winged_Dev
The issue was only present when flarum/nicknames
was not enabled, and/or when only one language pack is enabled, which is why I didn't see it at first, apologies.
I've pushed a patch that will fix this issue, but it is yet untagged. Would you mind please trying this out and letting me know if it resolves the issue for you?
composer require flarum/core:"dev-main"
php flarum cache:clear
If this is successful, I'll prepare a tag... Thanks for your help
IanM
It works, thanks.
The issue was only present when flarum/nicknames was not enabled
I don't have that nicknames extension!
IanM after update in posts i got a lot of empty space
I am having troubles with accessing mysite.com/admin#/basics
Everything else seems OK...
Update: Resolved after composer require flarum/core:"dev-main"
do you repair the new version?
can I install it now?
I have the same issue. Is this tagged and fixed now?
I just tagged flarum/core
at v1.8.7
, which fixes the issue intorduced yesterday in 1.8.6
where the BasicsPage
was not accessible to admin users under some scenarios.
IanM this is not visible in the extension manager.
My Flarum version still be the 1.8.6 because I never run the composer command to update but i replaced manually the files.
So my Flarum version is 1.8.6 and if I check in the extension manager there is no core updates after the update check.
peopleinside you should never manually replace the files, as this can cause many issues down the line.
To get back on track, you should now use these commands:
composer require flarum/core:"^1.8.7"
php flarum migrate
php flarum cache:clear
IanM please solve mentions post footer problem
IanM ok thanks.
Was because I don't wanna run dev command
Done what you suggested to do, thanks!
