"Following" shows nothing if I'm not following any threads

Hi there,

I noticed that clicking on "Following" in the forum sidebar (with the category list) goes to the page for threads that you follow, but since I'm not following anything, nothing displays except for the header/navbar/etc.

Now, you may be thinking "Well, it's common sense. Not following anything = nothing to show!" But it sort of looks weird not seeing anything, not even a message that says "You're not following any threads" or something like that. This isn't really a bug, but I'd like it to be fixed so we actually know what's going on; otherwise we wonder: was there a server error? am I not following anything? am I banned from the forum?

Yes there should be a message explaining what's going on.

If you ask me, I would rather it be hidden till said person has followed a conversation, as of right now I don't really see a reason (Not a good enough one anyways) for it to be shown unless someone is following something already. But I'm sure that Toby has thought of this to some level.

Now that I think about it, I also agree with @Felli . What is the point of showing it when there is nothing to show?

I think it's important for consistency that it always shows, even if there are no followed discussions. Imagine if you thought you had some followed discussions, but the menu item wasn't there? You might think that the app is bugging out, or that you've been logged out or something.

It's more informative to show the menu item and display a "no followed discussions here" message if there are none – a message we will definitely be adding in the future (see https://github.com/flarum/core/issues/118).
