After considering various factors, we have made the decision to migrate our forum StackFoss from NodeBB to Flarum. Our experience with NodeBB over the past few months has led us to try Flarum for the following reasons:
502 Errors: Despite not experiencing excessive traffic, we encountered 502 Bad Gateway errors on NodeBB. These errors can occur due to various reasons, such as server configuration issues, resource limitations, or connectivity problems. While troubleshooting and addressing these errors is possible, we decided to explore an alternative forum software that provides a more stable and reliable experience.
Suitability for Production: Our evaluation led us to conclude that NodeBB may not be the most suitable choice for a production environment.
