Certain avatars will not upload

I just noticed another issue: Certain pictures will not upload as avatars (this is in response to @lewisgoddard 's thread)

I decided to look at the Chrome developer console after trying to upload a GIF, (which failed, by the way), and this is what I saw:

And this is what happened on the container for my existing profile image:

cant describe (specifically, the loading icon)

It appears that there are two problems:
- The webserver for this Flarum forum is rejecting GIF images for some reason
- There is a parse error in the JavaScript file somewhere (could also be caused by bad JSON, I really can't tell)

Just tested this and had no problems uploading a GIF. I'm thinking that the GIF you uploaded was over the limit of upload, also I don't know if Toby implemented it into Flarum, but I also think that it converts GIF to another image format as the GIF I uploaded doesn't move.

Felli That's weird.

Well, if it's possible, Toby should at least add a validation check for files that are too big, because honestly it looks kind of strange when the loading icon displays forever and doesn't go away until a page refresh. Some sort of response from the server with an error message saying something like "The file you tried to upload is too large." would be nice.
