Every new day, flarum generate log file with 644, cause problem.

The issue

When I try to post a new discussion, or reply:
The stream or file "/www/wwwroot/mysite.com/storage/logs/flarum-2023-08-14.log

When I changed the file's permission to 775, the problem is solved,
But the next day, flarum-2023-08-15 will still be 644, and then the problem appear again.

FBioCS1 you mean the log file already exists but has the wrong file permission? Does the file contain any data? If there's already a first error in there it would help confirm which process created the file (webserver, CRON, etc).

If the file exists but is empty, it might have to do with the PHP configuration. I seem to remember there's something in php.ini or something where you can tell PHP which permissions it should apply to files it creates.

Or maybe it has something to do with the file permissions on the parent folder. What are your file permissions on the logs folder? Can you also confirm which shell users own the Flarum files and which shell user the webserver runs as?

It's important to fix this so you can have proper logs in the future, but in the meantime if you want to see what the error is that Flarum cannot write to file, you can enable debug in php.ini to see the error on the page. If you have an error every time you post, it might have something to do with email or webhooks. Since Flarum only tries to create/open the log file when an error occurs, you would have to manually cause some other error to verify your log file works correctly once that error is fixed.

EDIT: or Flarum might also try to open the log file to write non-error logs generated by some extensions. If you fixed the file permissions manually you should see the actual logs generated during the rest of the day. Can you share what they are so we have a better idea of what Flarum tries to write in there and fails?

I tried delete today's log file, and create a new post, then the log file was generated with permission 644, with web push's log in it, and the post was successfully posted, no error.

After a while, the criteria error appeared, and repeat to occur every 5 minute. Then I tried to create a new post, everything is normal, the post was successfully created.

I don't know when the error will appear again, but I know it can be fixed by change the permission of the log file from 644 to 775.

FBioCS1 it looks like you might have a CRON job schedule that calls a command that starts with php flarum criteria:[...], which probably belongs to an extension that's no longer enabled. That CRON probably runs as a different shell user than the webserver.

I'm not sure to which extension that might have belonged but it might be older because most extension nowadays would use the scheduler, but your php info showed Scheduler status: Never run so you probably don't have a CRON for the scheduler but for a specific Flarum command instead.

In your output we see the non-error PWA logs, which are likely the ones generated when publishing a discussion. So there's nothing to worry about there. The problem is probably with the scheduled/CRON command.
