Is there a way to integrate YouTube hooks with flarum? For example, if someone signs up for a membership on my YouTube channel, I'd like to add them to a designated member role on the forum. I guess there would have to be a connection between their flarum and youtube account somehow..
Discord has a YouTube integration that does this, but idk how complicated it is.
Any ideas?
Edit: -----
Since this was moved to proposals I will describe my use case below
I'd like an extension for flarum, or other tool if applicable, to integrate with managing a YouTube channel.
The extension should (imo) at least be able to:
- Automatic role assignment
Puts users on the forum into designated role(s) when they sign up for membership on a youtube channel, via the "Join" feature.
- New users.
If a new user registers on the forum, who is already a member on YouTube, then it is preferrable if this is recognized by the extension and puts the new user into the designated role(s)
- Cancelled membership
If a user cancels their YouTube membership, they should lose their forum role (or make this an option in settings)
Suggested additional features:
- Correlated roles
There can be a total of up to 5 tiers/levels on YouTube memberships. Extension should assign the correlated role on the forum based on which tier the user has joined on YouTube.
- Customizable settings
Like deciding which roles on the forum = which member tier, if the extension has this feature.
- Automatic alert/post on the forum for new members.
Some form of recognition post or announcement / alert that goes of on the forum when a new user has signed up for membership
If you are interested in an extension like this, please cast your vote. And if you have any suggestions for other features this extension should include, please leave a comment and I will include it in my suggested section.
