Anchor links, jump to specific heading ?

Hey!

Is it possible to have anchor links in threads?
I think I have tested all combinations with markdown/bbcode, but not yet succeeded.

I want to be able to have

Main heading (H1)

Section 2 (H2)

...etc

Which will take me to the right anchor in the thread.
Any advice? 🙂

FullThrottle83 this cannot be done natively, you would have to write an extension.

I'm not sure whether the existing TOC extension provides this.

I did work on this as part of a different TOC extension but it was never finished. Scrolling to anchors inside of the infinitely scrolling timeline is extremely difficult to get right.

Ah, that's unfortunate!
Would have been a nice feature IMO.

I don't know if the ToC extension works in threads, have just tried it in blog, where it did not work.
I guess my solution has to be to cut down the length of my posts.

The Table of Content extension seems to work well in threads 🙂

Too bad I have like 100 indexed blog posts that I wish it worked for.
Not to keen on converting posts into threads..

Edit: Perhaps I spoke too soon.
I pasted one of my blog posts as a thread and the font size went bananas. Starting at 14px, ending at 4px by the end.
Don't know if it's my bad formating, or if it has to do with that extension.
Will try some more when I've put the kids to sleep. 🥱

Idk for u but for me its like a full of bugs this extension, but i need it so much. Also wish someone update this one or make it to be into the begine of the post not on right sidebar.

Yes, I can confirm that the extension Table of Content by @tohsakarat has some bugs that unfortunatly make it unusable at the moment.

For example when I use it in threads, the ability to edit the thread vanishes.
Once I disable the extension, I can edit again.

I hope this extension will get further development.
If it is under active state(?), I can create issue report on GitHub
