Explain flarum/flarum and flarum/framework

Hi there,

I'm new to flarum universe.

I saw that there are two repos. flarum/flarum and flarum/framework

I am not sure how they work together and the docs mention that there's also frontend which is mithril.js. which I cannot find.

My questions are:

how does the entire thing come together and work as a whole?
Also, if i want to hire someone familiar with flarum as a consultant (to help answer flarum code questions. not write code for me), where is the best place for me to find someone qualified.

simkimsia, it is best to start off in the docs: https://docs.flarum.org/. Flarum is managed in a monorepo. If talking about extending Flarum you can also refer to the documentation: https://docs.flarum.org/extend. If you are looking for consultation you can open a discussion inResources.

Flarum/flarum is the skeleton. It's like a preset, if you're a familiar with Laravel. It contains the basics to boot Flarum, it has flarum core, several of our first party Extensions and its dependencies as dependencies.

The flarum framework repository contains the source code of Flarum, including core, extensions, utilities and mithril code. You will not need that repository unless you want to contribute to Flarum.
