Flarum dont respect settings in user profile

Just as title goes. Created account on some hardware related forum powered by Flarum, all ok, just one thing:

when I login there, Im presented with discussions list, nice. There is dropdown at the top of this list where we can select topic ordering scheme.

Problem is that when I select the way I want my topic list to be presented and than log out, and back in, bam, ordering is back to, somewhat, default value.

How to make Flarum remember the setting prefered by me?

protonek Flarum does not have a user preference for the sort order. But sort options are perma-linkable, so you could set a browser bookmark to the specific sort option you prefer.

An extension would have to be created to allow users to store their preferred sort method.

Interesting, nobody actually raised that the sorting should be a user preference. But that totally makes sense 🙈

Moved this to proposals. The targeted outcome would be:

an open source extension
that allows the user to change the sorting order of the discussion index
which then is stored in the user preferences
as a consequence when loading the discussion index the sorting is the same as when you logged out
