Yes there will be a migration tool from esoTalk to Flarum as Toby has stated on both projects.
The question that you should ask yourself as Liberty stated is are you up to running a beta on your website? Will you be able to handle things if a update requires some back-end knowledge, things break without any explanation on why, are you able to tell your users that there may be some flaws which could be a security issue?
esoTalk works great, just doesn't have the speed improvements like Flarum does or the theme/style which is very sleek. I personally run esoTalk currently until Flarum is stable enough to be used and supported by everyone (currently it's too much of a pain to update and also users tend to like things that stay the same and not break or work partially). So far people I've had my discussion board with love Flarum and see esoTalk as a temporary but required solution to avoid issues which may be out of everyone's hands.
I'll share my URL of my esoTalk installation in case you want to try things out or see how it feels; http://discuss.freshaquaria.org/
