This is a tiny extension to allow you select user login with username or email or default with both.

Small issue

Could not replace the placeholder text translation in login modal if you use lang package.

zaowan you can use this approach to replace the placeholder in the SignUp modal with your own clarkwinkelmann/flarum-ext-passwordlessblob/2.0.0/js/src/forum/index.ts#L49-L56

In your code I see you retrieve a translation inside the constructor of the middleware, this is not ideal for performance since this will run every time any request is made to Flarum daocatt/flarum-ext-loginblob/1.0/src/Middleware/LoginMiddleware.php#L28 and it also seems like you don't use that translation (copy-pasted from another extension?) so I would suggest removing it entirely.
