Error while trying to install GTD Cookie Consent extension

The issue

I'm trying to install GTD Cookie Consent extension through putty, but when I do
composer require gtdxyz/cookie-consent
I get this error:

In PackageDiscoveryTrait.php line 368:

My flarum version is 1.8.5

luceos Managed to install it through
gtdxyz/flarum-cookie-consent
but now, I'm in debug mode, and both backend and frontend are broken, and I get:

InvalidArgumentException File not found at path: /var/www/mywebsite.com/public/vendor/gtdxyz/flarum-cookie-consent/js/dist/forum.js

Yannic Yeah the extension doesn't seem well maintained. If you really want to move forward with it and you have npm installed, go to the extensions directory, then into js and run npm ci && npm run build. I highly recommend against using this extension though, it seemed to have been forked for personal use only.

luceos Ok, is there any alternative that gives you the possibility to choose what cookies to accept?

luceos Yes, I've tried this, but it doesn't have the part that blocks the scripts until consent is given, for the tracking and marketing part.
