Yeah, grammatically, you are correct in that it should be of course.
Although with that said....😄 admittedly I actually like Xiaoxioabai5724's original grammatically "incorrect" version due to it seeming to present with unique character flair.
Infact I'd initially interpreted Xiaoxiaobai5724's intention was perhaps simply sprinkling a little humour upon what would've otherwise just been another typically generic sentence.
Regardless however, it ought be noted that whether wittingly or not, by substituting 'him' & 'he' for 'it' in the original "incorrect" sentence example, this doesn't necessarily diminish the overall comprehensibility—(😄at least for me anyway).
