How I can remove the category menu from the sidebar?

Hi this custom css-code should do the trick 🙂

li[class^="item-tag"] {

No dosn't working for me but thanks for the try.
I am searching everywhere for it.. I can find how to edit the sidebar to make changes. Where I can find the php file.. I don't want to do it with css.

Kryonoglou It worked on my site, so did you paste this code in the field "Custom Styles" at the apperance tab? And did you cleared the cache?
Or do you maybe also have other changes under custom styles?

I think changing any file wouldn't be useful, because it will rewrite after an update. Best solution would be writing a extension for this.

I want to hide the word Categories not the categories.
The menu Categories, not the sub menus from the sidebar.
