Currently online list?

Not a huge priority, but is the plan for something like this to become a part of the core or will it just be left to extension developers? We already have online status on user profiles, but not in a single consolidated location.

Not bad idea and personally I recommend we match online users' name colours with their profile/avatar color - something unique.

I rather like how esoTalk puts a green dot next to the username. It's effective and unobtrusive.

This was also referring to a physical page that shows all the users that are online, not just a segment on posts that shows when a specific user is online.

I've been thinking that will arrive with the member list page, more or less.

I think that especially in the homepage... would be great to show the list of all online users, and some stats (forum posts, total discussions, total users).

I do think maybe having something more than the green dot would be nice (for example maybe a small list underneath the tags area that has members online or something.

Maybe option in settings to include who's online on the footer of the homepage.

Users names should be color coded to the group they belong. Ie: admin = red, mod = purple etc.
Option to change group color codes.

Edit: apologies for necroposting but there is still no ability to see who's online from the homepage.
