I'm still on flarum 1.8.16 and won't be able to update soon on my running forum due to many customizations and still missing extensions for 2.0 - so I'm also still using Colored 1.2.0
But unfortunately me and my members experience heavy lags when using the composer window while in a certain tag view.
setGlobalColor() triggers a complete style recalculation on all 14 css custom properties with every with every keystroke (MutationObserver fires with every change) for window.getComputedStyle(hero)
maybe something like this can fix it?

or do you have a better idea for a fix?
I would really really apprechiate, if you could fix this for a 1.8.16 compatible Coloured version.
Or can you think of a quick and dirty fix I could do by myself?
We got so used to the dynamic colours on tags, it would be really sad if we can not use the extension anymore on our 1.8.16 forum. 🥺
