How to create nested secondary tags?

Let’s say I have a main category, media, and secondary tags, books, tv shows, movies. If I want to tag something as Media, but fine tune it to Movies, how can I do this? I created a secondary tag, but I don’t see a way to tie it to my main tag? What is the main point of secondary tags in Flarum by default? Like on this forum, if I click “Support” I can fine tune it by selecting “Installing”. I wish to have my forum like this.

Also, how do I require a user to use a secondary tag for specific primary tags?

EDIT: Also, how do I restrict users from using specific tags? I created a “Staff” tag and only want admins or moderators to be able to create posts under this tag.

Yeah I found the current tags system confusing af initially.

Just drag the secondary tags under the primary tags.

You would create media as a primary tag, likewise books, tv shows and movies, you can then drag books etc as secondary primary tags below Media (I use this setup on my own install)

The only way to require a user to use a secondary tag is to make it a child of a primary tag so for example Books would requite media (flarum handles this itself)

However I'm unsure if this is possible with secondary tags (I feel like I might be making the terms confusing so primary tag = Media, Books = sub-primary tag of Media (but still a primary tag).

Limitations to tags can be set via Permissions -> Restrict by tag (select tag, apply permissions scheme for your selected tag)
