Custom CSS in the Appearance section crash the whole Design

Hi,
i am very new with flarum and css is not my core competence.
My Question is: in the custom CSS window i can set additional parameters for the appearance of my site
but if i enter some css code the complete design of the site is broken.
Is this normal or i need some special parameters for put in some minor changes on the site?

H4wkey3 this depends on the changes you've tried to add. The code added will be parsed by a Less compiler, so whatever you add has to be valid css or less.
