When you post a link, perhaps you can extract the title and display this if there is a meaningful title. If it is a internal link you can display topic title. If it is a particular post then parent title User's 2nd reply to Subject or something which is more user friendly. Also you can have hover screenshots of the link for internal topics and selected external sites where embedding is less appropriate.
