Is it possible to post YouTube clips in flavum. The clip appears then quickly disappears and just levees a link

Brew are you self-hosting Flarum?

You can embed YouTube videos on Flarum using the MediaEmbed feature, which can be enabled with either one of these extensions:

With the second extension you can enable only YouTube, if you do not wish to have the embedding feature for other supported websites.

Many thanks the replies, I had found and turned on Mediaembed but it almost instantly reverts to a simple link. Going to the composer page and it's quite beyond me to install and configure so we'll just have to settle for using the links.
I was asked if I self-host, the setup is on whatever Flarum uses.
We had a busy Invision forum (I'm a member not the admin), but it's down and their support is a much use as a chocolate fireguard and talking about lots of £'s, thus this attempt at creating a new forum.

Try clearing the Flarum cache. If that still doesn't help, try from a different browser or private browsing. If it still doesn't work, maybe there's a conflict with another extension. Please share your php flarum info output.

I asked whether you self-hosted Flarum, in opposition of using a managed service like for example FreeFlarum. If it was on FreeFlarum, they have their own support forum that would be best suited for issues that happen on forums they host.

I personally use fof/formatting and lite YouTube embed - but fof/formatting on its own works great, once installed you only really need to turn the extension on and in settings set MediaEmbed to on and Autovideo to on - everything else so far as I know is optional.

On the user perspective if both MediaEmbed and AutoVideo are on all they need do is use a standard YouTube (or various other video services) link in the post and it turns into a video.
