Add a different index view

I'd like to edit the schema that is presented in the index header. I'd like to create a new 'view' so I can add a few elements that currently isn't customisable with current extensions (not sure I'm capable of making an extension! lol).

Obviously, I could edit the views currently in the core, but when updating Flarum, these will be removed. How do I go about creating new files so they're not overwritten when updating flarum? I can't find any documentation telling me where to put my new files, and how to enqueue them.

dsgnr from what I understand it's not possible. Everything you want to override should be done by using an extension.

This is simply not true. There are no views on the php side of things beside the header.

You can add CSS through the admin panel and JavaScript through my custom header extension.

luceos Thank you - Since this post I have made an extension to add custom css and JS to the forum so this suits me well.

I am just having issues making one which echoes html in a particular place (can get it to appear in some places but not others).

dsgnr Out of interest did you manage to get your extension working? I'd like to have the main index/landing page of my forum show some extra HTML/images/etc.
