Upated via composer, now doesn't accept my database password

Hi all,

I ran an update via composer to 1.8.7, which seemed to have worked flawlessly.

Now it wants my database password to actually conduct the update. But when I type it in, it says it is the wrong password, now I am technically locked out.

Anyone experienced the same ?

marcoliverhofer the database password can be found in config.php does that password work?

marcoliverhofer run php flarum migrate, it's by far the safest way to run open database changes during an upgrade.

I totally forgot that I had changed my password a while ago in the database, but not the config.php ...duh!

marcoliverhofer glad to hear the mystery was solved!

But your message makes me curious, if you changed the database password for the MySQL user but not in config.php, Flarum would have stopped working immediately and you would have noticed.

Do you mean you use the same password for the Flarum admin and MySQL access? That's not necessary, in fact it would be more secure to have different passwords.

When you update Flarum with the web GUI, it asks for the MySQL password, not the Flarum admin password.
