Hopefully, the title explains it well enough, but in the event it doesn’t, I will try to explain. I want the ability to install an extension, then configure it before the public side of things sees anything. I'm aware most extensions come with some form of permission setup so I can hide things from the public scope until I'm ready ... unless they refresh at JUST the right time.
What I want is simple (in terms of explaining it, not making it happen): an ability to install an extension (which I have via the extension manager), then on the extension page, an option to configure the extension (enter an API key, set permissions, add icons .. whatever is involved BEFORE enabling the extension for public consumption.)
I'm aware that from a UX perspective, this could cause issues with admins not being quite sure if an extension is enabled at a glance - despite the green/red dots
